Welcomes
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

Listcruft/songcruft
[edit]Hi, I noticed your input on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of songs with the word "song" in their title or lyrics and ask you to visit a new discussion I have started, User:DGX/listcruft, about similar articles. Thank you! DGX 22:06, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- Werd to that. I'll check it out! -- The Deviant 21:12, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
I think your contributions to HughesNet are great. Some HughesNet employee is trying to undercut your statements by adding "responses". I've deleted them, of course, becuase they were uncited. I was just wondering if you could add just a fe references to make your critiscisms section more verifiable? -- Chris Ccool2ax contrib. 01:05, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I was just making the current stuff more non-point of view... The original author would probably be more suited to the references... -- The Deviant 19:39, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Your user page
[edit]I just reverted some changes made on your page from an IP address with a record of vandalism. I think I erred, and reverted them back again. Sorry for the confusion. --Brat32 23:37, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
SAVVIS entry is being continually vandalized by a SAVVIS insider. The entry is being continuously rewritten to create an advertisement while erasing the adverse history there. I believe this is going to need locking soon - could you take a look and see if I'm just being paranoid?
Thanks! LR
- I would have to think something is going on as well... I've caught them in the act at least once (edit was from an IP that I 'know' was a SAVVIS IP). Maybe they will give up, eventually :) The Deviant 20:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Savvis Communications Corporation logo.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Savvis Communications Corporation logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please delete Mr. BetacommandBot.... The Deviant 12:58, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Villages
[edit]Please stop deleting the villages header from {{Jefferson County, Missouri}}: these communities are indeed incorporated, but incorporated as villages. Nyttend (talk) 14:36, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, according to the Jefferson County website, Scotsdale is not a village of any sort. Please see the discussion page for more input... The Deviant (talk) 14:37, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
NowCommons: File:Mag7-sbs.PNG
[edit]File:Mag7-sbs.PNG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Mag7-sbs.PNG. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Mag7-sbs.PNG]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 10:17, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
There hasn't been much activity at WikiProject Missouri or any of its child projects lately, and I saw your name on the list of active participants. If you are willing to jump in again, please consider helping to revive the project:
- Put {{WikiProject Missouri}} on the talk pages of articles involving Missouri. This helps to categorize articles
- Write, cleanup, or expand an article about Missouri
- Source a Biography of a living person living in, born in, or otherwise affiliated with Missouri
- Help spread the word about the project
- Update the project page or the portal
- Watchlist or check the project talk page for updates
- Join one of the child projects:
If you know anyone who might be interested in Missouri (its history, culture, sports, people, places, architecture, etc.), please pass this message along to them! If you are still interested in the project but aren't currently active, please add yourself to the list of inactive participants at the bottom of this list. Thanks!

You're invited to Wikipedia Takes St. Louis!
[edit]Dust off your Polaroid camera and pack your best lenses. The first-ever Wikipedia Takes St. Louis photo hunt kicks off Sat, Sept. 15, at 12:30pm in downtown St. Louis. Tour the streets of the Rome of the West with other Wikipedians and even learn a little St. Louis history. This event is a fun and collaborative way to enhance St. Louis articles with visual content. Novice photographers welcome! Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 02:37, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
