Ebay.com.au's Easter Treasure hunt has so far had 9 clues. Of them, clue 9 caused the most controversy. This is partly due to the fact that the delay between clue 8 and 9 was over 6 hours. Many threads were started on the forum predicting clue 9's arrival, which happened on the 21st March 2005 at 7:57pm Australian time. The clue was solved within 10 minutes of posting. Its content was:

'Clue 9 - "Clue: X marks the spot" Hint: Pop Culture'

The solution has now been confirmed as a 'New red tail light cover' - the connection was between the Australian television show "X-factor" and it's host, "Mark Holden"
