- Apparently another school paper. RickK 03:17, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Delete-- this isn't Wikisource. RFC 1 was important historically, but this should be a page *about* RFC 1. Marnanel 03:30, Apr 14, 2004 (UTC)
- Take it ti Wikisource if it's public domain. Dysprosia 03:35, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Comment: It's not public domain. This is a common misconception about RFCs (and about the GPL and GFDL too). Andrewa 09:27, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. This isn't Wikisource, but the RFCs are not "material that are only useful when presented with their original, un-modified wording." anthony (see warning) 03:37, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- RickK, the fact that you can't tell the first of the documents that define the Internet as it would come to be from "another school paper" does not inspire confidence. As it is essentially read-only, it belongs on Wikisource and not here. -- Cyrius|✎ 05:46, Apr 14, 2004 (UTC)
- I see no need for an ad hominem attack. Whether I not I have any idea what this is has no bearing as to its appropriateness on Wikipedia. If you feel the need to attack me personally, this must reveal some feelings of inadequacy you have about yourself. RickK 01:42, 15 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- You made a statement that appeared to me to be in the same realm as calling the United States Constitution "another fantasy from a high school government student". You're right, my response was out of line. However, your reaction on copyright problems was uncalled for as well. Your own ad hominem of questioning my "feelings of inadequacy" is also unnecessary. -- Cyrius|✎ 03:34, Apr 16, 2004 (UTC)

- Delete: not encyclopedia material, desipite its high historical value. Write about it and format it nicely instead if it's gonna be here. --ssd 08:01, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)

- Delete from WP: source text. A description of RFC 1 would be appropriate for WP. Wile E. Heresiarch 20:18, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)

- Delete. RFC 1 may deserve its own article, but this one isn't it. Psychonaut 14:36, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. First RFC very important/famous. BL 08:04, Apr 19, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Wikipedia is not a source text dump. Maximus Rex 08:08, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
