"Star"

Bobby Gillespie said in a radio interview I heard at the time that the lyrics of Star were about the obsessive impact and influence the British royal family still held over the country - he most likely meant it was saying things in defiance of that kind of royal power. Interesting remark, seeing that the record appeared just two months before the death of princess Diana and the subsequent face-off between monarchy, media and (urban) people.83.254.151.33 (talk) 03:07, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
