What district/authority is this in? I was going to add population data, but I couldn't find it on the Somerset County County statistics, is it in North Somerset? Joe D (t) 00:04, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
- It comes under Sedgemoor. The problem is that while the town as a community in it's own right, legally it is part of the larger Burnham and Highbridge Council area. From an administrative point-of-view it's fairly logically given the close co-location of the towns, but it still irks most townsfolk that any historical description will focus on Burnham and ignore Highbridge. That's one of the reasons I started this article when I saw the pointer to a blank page. --Jason Kirk 20:52, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
Structure & references
[edit]This article is improving but can I suggest it is structured in line with Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements and references are included as information is added in line with Wikipedia:Citing sources as this provides verifiability and will be needed as the article grows.— Rod talk 11:19, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Wharf
[edit]Reference [1] is reported in the article as saying that the wharf closed to shipping in 1949. Reference [8] states late 1964. They can't both be right! 109.158.171.23 (talk) 06:52, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- I believe reference 8 is talking about the railway station rather than the wharf.— Rod talk 06:58, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
