Danger of WMF revealing the identity of editors to an Indian court

May I draw attention to discussions on Wikipedia:Village pump (WMF) starting with "The Asian News International vs. Wikimedia Foundation situation". We are close to reaching the stage on 8 November when WMF intends to reveal to an Indian court the identity of editors acting in good faith who have been accused of misrepresenting the activities of ANI. It seems to me we need to take effective steps to prevent any details leading to the personal identification of these editors, particularly an Indian contributor who feels threatened. I am not familiar with the procedures necessary to organize action along these lines but would appreciate help and support.--Ipigott (talk) 08:30, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

I see discussions have continued on the Village pump (WMF} page with a proposal by Espresso Addict headed "Should we send an open letter?". Perhaps this is the correct way to proceed.--Ipigott (talk) 08:41, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
