Entry into computer industry
[edit]I've recently come across https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/46518102.pdf, specifically p342-353 of the PDF, which looks at the position of Burroughs at the point that it entered the computer industry and provides comprehensive information on turnover etc.
Interestingly, much of this material was apparently originally put together by IBM.
There's definite quirks in there, for example the author appeared to think that everything with the same "hundreds" digit- B5500, B2500 etc.- was in some way compatible.
I feel there might be some way to work some of this into the article. MarkMLl (talk) 08:20, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
