5/21/05 - edited incorrect information previously posted by someone else about the succession amendment during the Wilkinson administration. No succession amendment ever reached the voters then because the General Assembly was unwilling to approve it and send it to the voters. This article previously had lengthy inaccurate material about a referendum that never took place.

Don't we have a picture of this guy to include in the article? He was a governor of a U.S. state and is still alive and still actively employed in a high-profile role, for goodness sakes.
